Good Morning ------ just thought I would pop in and say good morning
Roses from a walk about town.
I love walking around my little horse town, going to the market to pick up a few things or the library to get the latest novel or interest book. I had chosen a few books - Flat Belly Diet, Inside the Victorian Home, Julie & Julia, and another about artist and their muses. I had gotten 1/2 way through the last 2 - Julie & Julia I decided to buy and the other was not what I expected. Victorian Homes I began and had to return because I had no more renewal time, may buy that one also. Flat Belly of course I like that one.
I had made Chilled Strawberry Soup. Very simple and the Heroes liked it from the Flat Belly book. I make a good size batch and then freeze individual portions, just take out of freezer and let it defrost in frig.

Chilled Strawberry Soup
2 cups Strawberries, hulled
3/4 c white grape juice
1/4 c orange juice
1/4 tsp lemon extract (I used vanilla since forgot to put on shopping list)
1/8 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 cup fat-free vanilla yogurt
1/2 c slivered almonds, toasted
In saucepan bring everything to a boil, except yogurt; cool 5 minutes then transfer to blender/food processor and blend until smooth, pour into bowl and chill for 30 minutes; whisk in yogurt and chill another 30 minutes. Divide into servings and top with 2 tbsp almonds
makes 4 servings, 195 calories.
I am not promoting Flat Belly and with all things diet and exercise please consult your Doctor. But if you are looking for a nice summer dish this fits the bill. Even though we are now in August and Summer is coming to it's close.

Southern California
The area of Southern California I live in, has 2 seasons Summer and 3 months of sweatshirt weather. Yes, I complain and wonder what I am still living here for - but I know there must be a reason and God will reveal it when I'm ready. Maybe I just need to stop complaining and God will show me how to make that Someday happen. I love reading - have spent many o late nights reading a good book just to finish it. Libraries is a great place in which to borrow a book and find new genres, to learn new things and even meet new people. Walking for me, keeps me in shape - even though I know I need to lose 50 lbs, that doesn't seem to go away. I enjoy cakes , pies, and ice cream; I would make it a meal if I thought it would I'd get all my vitamins from it. Hint: reason for the Flat Belly book.
On a nice but warm Summer - Southern California day I
walked to my Library and got some books to read.
And Someday is: I will move to the mountains where there are 4 seasons and summers are a bit cooler then here. Well, that is for another day to reveal, today is for rest before work tonight... well maybe some organizing of my room or the projects I need to prep for.
