Fall Angle Tabletop

She is the inspiration to this Tabletop today
                            Don't remember where I got her ... actually I believe it is Sister's;
only Sis keeps putting Her in my storage box.

I then added the Pumpkins, Leaves, the Votive candles, and the Autumn Greetings.

On the pedestals I scattered some Acorns. Just adore these Acorns, I bought them from Hobby Lobby - a package last year and 2 this year... these are the Acorns are the ones I want to use in the idea for the Fall arrangement in the Butternut bowl to a Crystal bowl.

I was lucky that my Sister has this Gold tablecloth that matches
the decorative vine & leaf of Her dress

The Angel is 'carved' in look and her wings are metal wire,
that lends to the earthy tones and texture of this arrangement

I hope that you have enjoyed today's Tabletop and will be inspired to
            make one for your Table.

                         until next table,

Fall in the Living Room

                                                        Welcome to our Living Room.

With wanting to do the Fall Tour on the First Day of Autumn ( September 22) I just put a few Pumpkins out. The Autumn Pillow is new this year, the check pillow I got in July for the Patriot Decor at the Target's Dollar Spot - it is making it's rounds for the Holidays.

This Pumpkin is Sister's, I framed these prints found online a few years ago and paired them with 2 of the Scarecrows; they are about 15 years old, next to the T.V.

This is my favorite part of the Living Room Fall Decorating....

                                                           the Garland.

This year Blackjack helped with putting up the Leaf Garland. This Garland history is 3 or 4 different colors bought over several years, that I cut up to mix - giving it the look of one continuous garland, but for several years it was in pieces - I was up and down the ladder just to get them up. So last year was the year I tied the pieces to a wire garland and bought extra icicle lights (the lights in previous years was just single strands) to make it completely surround the top of the room.

This is my favorite part of decorating for the Fall - This Garland.  I enjoy putting this up, having the lights glow and the vibrant orange & red color of the leaves. It was also this year that I realized that - these leaves have a place here in Sister's home.

I know that I will change, add more so when I did this corner
I was loving the simple of it all...

I kept messing with this oversized Brandy vase,  loved the Little Pumpkins as
filler, but the amount & size just didn't match, so added some Beads and
a votive candle; my only problem was when I was photographing there was
glare going on and getting this 'Be Thankful' Pumpkin took a bit of time.
                                                                      Being Thankful.

                                           Hope you enjoyed this room.

                          until next Room,

Fall Home Tour

Welcome to my Sister's & my home....

The book case when you enter our home. It is a catch all area for walking in or out.

I had tried again to make a bow... hand won't cooperate, it cramps up by the 2nd loop.

   The Living Room...

One of my Heroes watching T.V. and...

next to the T.V. a couple of Scarecrows,
this year I may not put anything on the T.V. console table...
it it still early in the season and there are more Pumpkins to buy.

these doors lead out to the Game Room/office of my Brother-in-Law
                                  a domain I don't really touch.

Each year I get some Harvest Fall ornaments in the hopes that this will be the year I will get that tree. But for now they look prefect just hanging out here, waiting....

The Table is still the same,

as is the kitchen, posted earlier this week.

                      I may toss in a Pumpkin or 2... have plans for baking some cookies;
I will be trying a new (to me) recipe of Sugar Cookies and will be taste tested
by a couple of coworkers from Retail and will post the results here.

Bathroom also got touched with some Fall color. Simply waiting for some falling leaves.

And a spot in my Room,

places in my room get changed a lot during these past few weeks from cute & prefect to just put that Pumpkin here...

I wanted to post this today, as that today is the First Day of Autumn. I know that by the time it is to put the Pumpkins away I will have changed things around at least 3 times. And if Thanksgiving Dinner is here that will be 4 times. I will post a close up tour of the other rooms soon.

                    until next,
                                Mia

Fallifing the Kitchen

Putting a few touches in the Kitchen today

I bought a new Fall cuppa and when not in use it will sit here waiting
for it's next refill looking prudy.

Here is an grand look at this Kitchen:

As you can see the Kitchen is not a large one, so the touches are minimal...

a hanging banner on the Garage door; a drying mat and some dish towels
all in a Fall look by the Sink.

And on top of the frig, a Pumpkin with a battery operated Candle
                                                               and a little flower pot

and of course my favorite spot ....

the Coffee Corner; loving the cup. I had bought one just for this reason
but now I want another cup & the matching plates.

With a Kitchen that has limited counter space and the Baking Season is upon us (at least with this family) having Fall hanging around the Kitchen is not efficient, but is not a room to be neglected. Love the how this has turned out.

I confess these cookies, are not home baked; I got them from Walmart. They are so delicious and taste home made....    reason why I need the plate: cookies.

                 until the next Room,
                                         Mia

Fall Tabletop with Butternut Bowl

Having ceramic Pumpkins hang out with the Butternut Bowl this morning.

the White Pumpkin is my Sister's, it is adorable.

this is my Amber Glass tealight Pumpkin I had found this at a thrift store years & years ago

Thrift Stores are an inexpensive way to grow a collection.

also my 3 mini Dollar Tree Pumpkins

another place to get inexpensive Fall decor

I love the simpleness of just the Pumpkins with the Butternut Bowl, next week it may have new touches but for now the Simple works.

                  until next table,

Butternut Bowl - Fall Harvest Decorating Tips

Last year I won this beautiful bowl in our Church raffle. I love it; it just says Fall Harvest.

Butternut by Christina Ladas for Ambiance Collections

I want to make a Fall arrangement in the bowl ...

Because this is a Pasta Salad Bowl, I really did not want to lose the ability to use for food, so I did not hot glue the floral foam to the bowl.

                            Tip One: Support Containers

Candle holders makes great support container, you can use any container that will fit your need.

As for the arrangement I took some faux Fall Harvest floral bunches from the Dollar Tree, snipped them off

Dollar Tree is an inexpensive place to get some amazing Fall faux foliage, You just need to get them when they are there, they are like HOT potatoes and never stay in the store long.

                                         Arranged them in the foam.

I had this idea before - Support Containers

flowers in a votive candle holder and a still usable creamer

I like the idea to be able to change containers. I already have an idea to put this arrangement in a crystal glass bowl and to hide the Support Container use acorns...the possibilities are endless.

For now they will be enjoyed in the Butternut Bowl...

                             until next tip,
                                              Mia
