Double Table
The first table, I wanted simple. Got simple. Was trying for a dome arrangement only I need a couple more roses or use floral foam. So it did not quite make the dome. I put Sister's Mint Green table cloth to keep the background neutral letting the Pink - Pop. That Pop made the imperfect dome ok, and loved the look.
I have been into the over head shots; Instagram has labeled this 'Lay Flat' Photography. Though I don't think this image counts as a Lay Flat image.
Pink is Popping
I put them in my Goodwill's Silver bowl find...
I just love the tarnish of the bowl, it gives it such character and age - can you see the engraving... Flight, Winner, 1955 .... just perfect for the Pink Roses.
The next Table....
a Shabby Woodland Spring,
I was waiting for the White table cloth to come out of the dryer and as I was arranging this ... I came to love just as is - without the tablecloth.
My vintage books and along with these flowers that I took off an old Spring decor vine garland was the inspiration to the grouping.
A cup of tea is always good with a book; during the Spring cleaning I had set the doily on the plate and the cup on top - pleasing to the eye. Which of course was sitting on the cake plate, while I was washing the dome. Adding to the books on the table and some more flowers to help complete the look.
The Table with it's clothe, I added the candle sticks (candles always seems to complete a table) making nice but for me not done ... candles was needed and I didn't want to go search for them.
voila - flowers is the solution.
ummm you may noticed that the table clothes had changed.... Remember I'm Spring Cleaning, didn't post the first table; well, I also didn't take enough pictures, most where blurry or had Levi the Kitty in them. I write this the next day of making a table so if more pictures needed I take them.
And when I put the table back to the Woodland Spring, I didn't change tablecloths.
I love creating new talescapes, I was looking at pictures of past tables and thought beautiful but.... a new look, use the same pieces but create new. This is what happens when I put things out on the table.
until next table,
Mia
