                                    Memorial Day Table

                   Wishing everyone Peace on this Memorial Day; I say Peace because someone
         somewhere is missing a Hero.

                        I am missing my Dad, in 2009 he passed away. This is him at about 4 or 5
      and his uniform patches.

       
              I set this table really not knowing what I wanted other than the new Silver
    Chargers I got from my Local Dollar Tree

                 I gathered up the red white and blue dishes, Patriotic decor and began dressing
       the table.

             This Red Glass Depression Era pitcher was a gift from my beautiful friend Joyce.
   When she gave it to me I knew it needed to be used in a Patriotic Table once I pulled it out
  I then decided that my Blue Stemware and S&P shakers where needed. Sister's White Plates
  and my newish White Bowls along with the Mooncrest Silverware, and as for the napkins I
  used an Americana printed Handkerchief to completes the Setting.

Let's do 52 - Photography

Shadows

                   These I got on my way to Retail; it has rained - rained in May in So Cal, making 

         outdoor shadows a bit difficult to get with no sun. Today, I was on my way and thought
         'Oh I wish I didn't have to work and can just go and explore places, take pictures.....'
         but for some reason I need to pay bills.

   

       
                    At the stop sign when I realized - better pull over before traffic starts to honking.
                  
                                                                   On to Retail.

                       Of course I had visions of specific Shadow pictures and just no way to make
            it happen - between the Rain and Retail, not much happened in terms of finding places
           of Shadows.

                                                         

Sunset

                Last night I was able to get a Sunset picture. This week I had been scheduled

        11-8 a couple of days and was able to get this mauve orange pink sky before the 

        Sun's light left the sky. 

                 I really enjoyed the  palm trees - the fronds silhouette in the setting sun's light.
     This also is a two-fold picture - Sunset and Shadows.

                   I had found some Flowers as I was at a local Dollar Tree, and did a fast photo
          shoot continuing the flower category & how I have been enjoying the clouds. The
         clouds have been nice and fluffy and again this makes a dual category Flowers and
         Shadow.  I'm going to have to have a dual category for my end Project - we'll see.

Photo Challegne my Week #10

Let's Do 52 - Photography

Flowers

  

                            Last week's subject was Flowers. I have a lot of pictures that are about
                 flowers and I wanted to find that unique look.  Still looking...... I've been looking
                 at the pictures and thought just because the week's over doesn't mean I can't take
                 more if I find that 'flower' or 'fence' and I have to take that picture.
           

                       From the yard; the Roses are not liking the weather and Sis is working on  

            creating a new landscape. Believe she is favoring a desert garden and that does

           not include Roses. I may have to write a story on these Roses, we have been through a lot.

                  These are from Retail, taken the week before Mother's Day Sunday.
                                                       
                                  My first without my Mom - we are not going
                                 there since that is what this Challenge is about -
                                 a therapeutic activity to get back to norm and a
                                 good healthy ' I miss my Momma'.
                                           More about that later.

                        This is the Sunset Week #7 ; only this was taken about 9 or 8 years ago.
             I am usually at work during the setting sun and on my days off I am not in a
             place that will give me a nice composition.
                        With starting this Challenge in March and then thought to share with
             you last week I need to get you caught up and organize the Google digital library
            better. I just made a 52 Week file, then added fotos that fit the week (hence the
           above picture). And if you can tell some of these can also fit other image subjects -

                       It's time for me to get busy on other things - like finishing the laundry,
                so I can have dry clothes for Retail tonight.

                         Last month I was scrolling through Pinterest and came across a
        52 Week Photo Challenge, and I thought the  list was a doable.

            the subject ( I can't see breaking a cup on purpose).

                    This one I added to the Gallery just because it is a really, really good picture.
           Though it could be considered Week 52's picture - Holiday, since it is a Valentine
          decor picture.

                  some are even getting title changes; this was considered & taken the week of
        Daily Habit, but as I looked at it for this post it is a very busy & messy looking picture.

                   I started to do this Challenge for 2 reasons - one to improve my Phone Photography
        and to keep myself busy and not think of my Mom being gone. I may even create my own
      photo list (choosing a subject or just combing other lists). Then I want to make a Photo Book
      of the ones I really really like.  
                                                     

  

                  I will be sharing this creative process with you. I will post on Friday the
        pictures I take - good or bad because that is what this Challenge is about. 
       
                    ugh mind is drawing blank how to write this in... I am thinking that if you
                   pick your favorites I will do a reader's choice and adding a chapter/section
                   when I put the book together. Looking forward to your choices.
