Lost Thoughts

Have you ever been in the middle of something... say like washing dishes, or driving, or Retail work and have a Thought, a great Thought, an important Thought but don't/can't write it down, knowing that you - me will forget it later.

That is what happen to me last week, I was at Retail and a thought of some great idea to write about here came to me but another mini rush came through and I didn't get the chance to write it down. Well, not exactly a mini rush, Retail can be described as waves of people wanted to check out then slowly died down then another wave comes crashing through.

Someone needs to create an app for the phone that is voice activated - Voice Note.  No looking at phone (driving), no touching (dishes), and something that Retail would not believe to interfere with work...

For now I will continue to use a journal - Note Book - to write these moments of thought and other things = appointments, lists of To Do & groceries, and project ideas. It is a much better way of keeping track of these then the bits of paper notes I use to keep. Though you may find that I will make the occasional list and sometimes they make it to the trash once they are no longer needed.

This is my pocket size back-up for when I'm at Retail, it even house the little bits of paper when I leave it in my purse. If you look closely at the first picture, the story thought came back to me and I had the chance to write it down.

What do you do to help you with remembering To Do's & Thoughts?

                                until next thought,
                                                  Mia

Ps, about Table Tues I was preoccupied with this that Tuesday Table didn't get dressed up visit. Next week we'll have a special Table..... as long as I don't have a Lost Thought hehe

Dream Boards ....

Big Bear Village 2017
... or Vision as some may call it, this is my Dream Board.

A few picture frames that have images that remind me of what I want & what I can do to get there. To Blog and create as a way to express the life and home that I dreamed of. And where I want that home to be and that I need to be a good steward with money.  Family is there because of love.

This is the Dream = to live in the Mountains.

Drive to Big Bear 2017

It is a 5 Year Goal & it is the First Anniversary of my decision to make the move. It has been going good, not great but good. I may have set the standard of this year way too too high but as I think of what I have accomplished ... all is Good. I'm Happy.

Big Bear Spring 2017
I use to say ' Someday ' , and not do much to make it happen, so I made these one night right after that decision. In 5 Years I will see how my Finances are... do I look for a job there; should I stay here; can I retire - collect early Social Security (LOL); or do I make enough money here blogging, that income of a job not needed; do I adjust my time frame ( add a year or 2).

This is what has me thinking on my Dream Board, not that having it hanging on the wall is a big reason to think about it - The Project that was on the Table last Tuesday....

My Brow in Law's Vision Board:

He has a Goal mapped out, gave me the particulars of the Whats and I just glued it all together. It was a fun project but it got me thinking on mine, of refreshing the Board itself. I knew I needed to review where I was in getting to the Mountain, but the board was just ... there and fading in the background of the room... turning into a ' Someday ' thought. Bro in Law's is a 1Year Goal & I've come to see that I need to break down each Year to know that I am on target or not.

~ a Bullet Point list of what he wants to get done this year
... a starting point for mine

So this week I will be doing a new and improved Dream Board. I know my desire to be on the Mountain and have asked God to help me with moving there; now I know that it doesn't involve winning the Lotto, it involves me working towards that Goal and God opening the doors for me to obtain them.

... Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
                                                           ~ Psalm 119: 105 (NIV)

I like this verse, reminds me that His word is the light that is guiding me on this path ~ this journey to the Mountains.

                                   until next thought,

Beach Table

Starting simple the other day and today I want to do big.
Only I have a project on the table and Big will have to wait for my Weekend.

The sand also is not the color I wanted; I wanted it to look like the sand at Carmel Beach.
Carmel is my favorite beach, the scenery is very peaceful.

Found this in Google since I haven't worked on my pictures in a while - a long while to downloaded/scanned any pictures.... haven't done any of my pictures of Carmel. I had them developed and printed, this one I debated on sharing...

Picture of a picture of me in Carmel. The trees there are just a character of their own, their beauty is not the same as the next tree.  The person taking the picture claims to not be good at it, so it is blurry.

The Beach is about relaxing with a good book; my daughter can tell you all about that, believe that is why she loves Santa Barbara.... another beach town I love. Half the reason I love is because she is there the other is because it is the beach.

From one of my trips to Santa Barbara -  Stearns Wharf. We had walked from my daughter's apartment, down State Street.

But it was another trip that I was Shell Hunting.

ok, well... some I bought; needed to fill in the gap, add a variety of shells.
Cause what else says Beach but a shell or 2.

Beach towns are beautiful, the sound of the waves relaxing, the air is fresh and cool coming off the ocean. And yes the smell- seaweed, washed up on the shore has it's own love/ hate smell of decay. Which I do love. How do I know this- I once lived in Monterey Bay. I loved the fog that rolled in every evening and out each morning, the wind that the Sea Gulls would hover in, clear blue skies that meet the sea. By now you maybe wondering why did I ever leave my Beach town, family. I needed to be near Family that lived here in So. Cal.
Every so once in a while I miss the Beach Life, at least I know I have a place to visit when I get real need to go - the Table ... or my daughter's.

                           until next table,
                                             Mia

Tuesday Table ~ Project Table

                                                             Easter Table 2017

Last week I mentioned Project Table; it is a County Fair competition - Tablescape. This will be a collaboration of 2 Friends, a Sister & I. Planning a day of Antiquing in Temecula this week and a nice lunch to brainstorm theme, color, and style. With our busy lives I know that Fair time will come faster than we know and then we will have a mediocre table and that's not what we want.

                                                          Thanksgiving Table 2016

We choose the category: Imagination, and have talked about doing a French theme... Versailles. All that opulence, gold leaf, and Blue. my favorite color. Ok Blue isn't France's only color. Marie Antoinette's bedroom was Pink/Gold & Flowers, just Blue ... well it is Blue need I say more. Blue can be talked about at another time.

4th of July 2014 Boston Tea Party Table

I had double checked the Entry form and Rules today to print out and I realized that I may be going off track in my planning of this table. The category we picked from suggest to find that inspiration in color, season, day of the week, hobby. It may be back to the drawing board with a theme.

                                                                Summer 2013

We are sending the entry form in tomorrow and I will keep you updated.

                                                                    Summer 2015

I begin writing this on Monday, Check it's spelling and tweaking on Tuesday and in 24 hours I already have an update: Thursday's  Day Trip will/maybe next Thursday and Sis & I think maybe a 50's Bowling Table.... Pink Poodle skirt and all (my thought there). Sis has a few Bowling Salt & Pepper shakers to start.

                      Until next table,
                                    Mia

Table on Tuesday

Nothing spectacular just keeping it dress up as life keeps us busy.

One chore is keeping the Roses nice, which this bush just keeps blooming. It needs to be deadheaded - spent roses cut off. Plus there are other yard chores that needs to be tended to.

Summer time life in the yard.

Have a few projects going on and day trip expeditions planned. And let me not forget my Restore the Core fun.

Which our awesome facilitator is moving to Arizona soon so I want to get in as much time as possible with her. Plus it will get me in the habit of setting that time for me. Yes, it is exercise but that is a me time. It is taking care of God's creation - me.

This is a project that will be the most fun. I have ideas that involve a few small projects  and a few Day Trip Expeditions. This Project Table as I will call it will be a collaborations of a few friends of mine. More on that later since this is suppose to be about Tabletops around here.

Basically not much has changed, Sis is over the Patriotic Decor so took most - 90% out  and is now hanging out in my room. I will think of a fresh look for the 4th on the Table. While at Hobby Lobby the other day I saw blue star votives and thought 2 of them would make a great set, hoping they will still be there next week. One sad thing - the jar candle votives (in first picture) , one jar broke, I will be keeping an eye out for a replacement(s).   I'll let you know how that turns out, but for now I need to get a move on Retail is calling (time-wise). Have a Blessed Day.

                        until next Table,
                                        Mia
