Tabletop Tuesday's the Making Patriotic

This Tabletop is on the small side because I knew there would be a few BBQ sides along with people getting their taste on.

As you know I made those pedestal plates; the bottom one is a plate and the top is
a candle plate. I haven't attached the 2 pieces but I will soon,
creating a Tiered Stand decorative piece.

The Burlap Balls I made from Dollar Tree plastic baseballs and Modge Podge
using the left over Burlap from my nieces' wedding. I pieced together, covering
the balls with the burlap... I liked how they turned out - Rustic Country.

The flower is coffee stained as a test for the wreath on the door - as of yet it is not done. Need to have some leftover coffee; a rare thing with me.

The bow helps with the 'real white' not sure how I would fix that, to have a vintage patina look. My sister's USA letters fit in with the bows 'real white' which is a plus.

Love this small gathering, this vignette for the table.

                             until next table,
                                            Mia

Getting Patriotic Around Here

                   Memorial Day BBQ ~

                                                       Happy Memorial Day Weekend

The Man in Blue is My Daddy, an Air Force Vet, retired Civilian, and Santa.

Thankful of the service our military has provided so that dreams can be chased and lived.

I have this Natural Americana decor that I love.

Stars are the focal point of my collection.

Some day I hope to own a All Holiday Tree so that I can hang these ornaments on. Only once that happens I will have to get more table decor ...   hehehe.

I put together a wreath that I got from the Dollar Tree...

I just twisted the wire stem to the wreath form, I was wanting to put a Candle Vase in the center
but I thought it looked better here

On the first trip I spent $7 for the wire wreath & some flowers, only to not have enough so I went back and bought $7 more in flowers. 4 Blue 4 Red 5 White, I had a few left over which is ideal for filling in a spot around the house.
One thing is if you notice the other pieces have a vintage cream look to them and the wreath does not. If I get around to it I will coffee/tea stain, giving it the right look.

I did a coffee staining with these stars

Yes, I had some left over coffee; reheated = revolting so I put it to good use.

This is hanging on my bedroom door .... can't take a good pic cause the narrow hall or angle the with open door.

Saturday was the BBQ for my sister's business team and I had got the place all prudied up, did a few projects. Got some plants with my sister for the yard and fiddled a bit out back.
Sounded a little like my Granny there - she would always fiddle about something.

                                                    Table ~

I put this together for the table; I made the burlap balls.
More about them tomorrow on Tabletop Tuesday.

In the Game Room / File Room / Office.

.

The Living Room gain a few pieces here and there

The Kitchen and Bathroom getting touch with the Patriotic Look

                                                                      And the Entry

That is what the House looks like Saturday Morning; I will keep most of it up till after the 4th of July, may change it around some - the Game Room table won't stay that way, it is used as a file table..... ssshhh the table cloth is hiding file boxes.

My Room's touch, wanted to do a bit more but just never got around to it.

                            Happy Memorial Day
                                              until next time,
                                    Mia

Half Done with a Day Trip to The Mountain

Have a few projects going, spending time here, and oddball work days have not given me time to finish anything on my appointed time frame. I did however get a chance to visit The Mountain.

Went for lunch and a nice walk down to the lake. Now back to life.

                                               Until next time,

Mother's Day Spring Table

                                                               Happy May

Lots going on the first 2 weeks of May, my niece will be getting married, my Sister's  Anniversary, and of course Mother's Day. I haven't even thought of the rest of the month. I know we should be in the here and now....

So I am posting this today and the Table will look like this for the next few weeks.... or maybe it will become a working table with just a spot for Nephew to have his meal.

A lovely Mother's Day Spring Table.....

I want to say this one thing- a designer/stylist may say- that I did not give it a symmetrical look -needs to have the height on both ends, to frame what is in the center. I was aiming for a cascading look which I believe I achieved. Oh one other detail... the bird cage I made, which accounts for the  lopsidedness. (very happy with that too)

and the buttons and earrings are for the Rosette project

The cage is a pickle jar lid with wire hot glued to make the dome - hand shaped, why the lopsidedness; the edging is paper punched after it was all assembled I painted it white. The Rosettes is an on going project - as you can see the earring (yes earring) isn't the right fit for the center of Rosette. I will need to layer it with a smaller Rosette or find a bigger center. Between me & you the layer look will be better.

                   More pictures of the Table:

                                                             My 2 of  tea cups

The faux Ranunculus that is looking beautiful everywhere

The lacy crochet ribbon with the pearls, I bought to do Rosettes
is lovely, corralling everything to the edge of the Table.

I had bought a vine to hang on my bedroom window a couple of Springs ago and well this year it hasn't made it up. I even bought another one to plump up the vine. Both at Hobby Lobby 50% off both times, such a deal. I used one, nicely giving the effect of flowers cascading on to the Table.

It looks lovely and can stay past Mother's Day, the wonderful beauty of faux flowers and being too busy to stay on top of Changing of the Flowers.

                until next Table,
                                       Mia

PS our Table sits between 2 windows against the wall - chair is sandwich between wall & table
