Table on hold

Fall 2015

Fall 2013
Fall 2012

This week We have a few Heroes visiting from the Big City. So getting all the things done in a regular week is a bit of a challenge. The past couple of weeks I have been thinking on Fall as you may know from previous post. I have a few projects plans in motion and ideas for the table, just this week it has been on vacation. With Fall on the brain I thought I would share past Tables.

Fall 2015

Fall 2013

ugh!!! having technical difficulties - I am adding pictures and they keep going to the top and the margin was not where it should be... then hitting the enter button a couple times and gained it back, whew.  Though I don't want to mess with the pictures and start the Technical Difficulties again.

It seems I don't have Fall 2014 on Lewie Newie the Computer and to see if they are on Dutch would take a few days. Dutch the Old Laptop is slow and is used to just receive scanned items and Monday's Email.

Last year's Table, My First Turkey - the other 2 are my sisters S&P shakers I got from Walmart. Love how this one turned out and have you noticed the progression of abundance these Tables gained over the years. Now you can see why I am thinking Fall now - how do I top last years Fall???  And not spend more than what I have budgeted for the Decor, something I need to do asap or I will be broke. Love Decorating.

                         until next table,

Summer - Winter

Roses few days old from blooming, still on bush June 2016

When people complain it's too hot or it's too cold....
When it is Winter they want Summer and when it is Summer they want Winter.

Southern California has 2 seasons a Hot & Hotter Summer and Mild Sometimes Rainy Winters.

                                                         This Mornings Roses July 2017

I want Winter - Rainy and all. The Mountains average 82 degrees ( info from The Weather Channel) is perfect  and warm enough for me. This is the reason I want to live there, & yes, there is Snow in the Winter which is a colder temp then I have ever experienced, but for that 15 - 20 degree cooler Summer,  I'm willing to learn how to live in the Snow.... I can always call a taxi LOL, never driven in snow.

June 30, 2016
As I write this I noticed the pictures I have to share about Hot & Hotter Summer's are just of the sunrise  which is the best (my opinion) time to be outside in the Summer.

When it is hot it seems to just melt the energy right out of you, so who wants to be out in that. I like outdoor activities just as much as the next person but I would also like to be energized by the trip, i.e. hiking, bike riding, walking. Walking which is my favorite way to exercise... how I get the sunrise pictures. And I love to hike but haven't in such a loooong time that I didn't think I have the stamina to do anymore.

Roses from the yard this morning are barely getting any beauty time before they begin to dry up, just last week these 3 blooms began it's journey opening. I finally dead headed the roses this morning because I was up early enough to enjoy the morning cool air.

Enjoying the mornings and making progress to the Mountain Living Goal - cool weather living. What is your favorite Summer or Winter? And how to you deal with the weather's extremes?

                       until next thought,

Painting Tabletop

Wanted to share with you a different Tabletop ...

                                                              My Desk

So I have been dreaming of  the Holiday Season - Fall/Harvest & Christmas and that lead me to wonder what I have, what projects I wanted to do, what would be bought. (finding that planning holiday/seasonal posts is a 3-4 months in advance kind of thing) This Project is my Christmas Village. I had 2 Houses - dark in tone so I thought I would paint them. Then this past Spring I bought at Goodwill 2 pastel color  and since I was painting the other 2 it would not matter.

I did the church first & loved it. Then I realized that it would not go with the style I have - Traditional & Rustic Mountain. So here I am trying to think of the colors and how the Village would look

Thinking the Rosy Mauve will not stay as the ribbon trim on the Pavilion Gazebo - not quite the Rustic Mountain or Traditional.

That is what is going on at my Desk. It has me thinking just how efficient, organized my desk is.... Not. I love to be able do projects at my desk and not have a disarray around me just to have the supplies out. Should I get a Parsons desk, put a small bookcase on it, making it a hutch - housing my supplies?  Thinking it sounds good but I have more going on at my desk then the above picture shows.

January 2017

                                                              Everyday normal desk
Thinking my desk needs to be apart of my Vision Board.

This will have to be a project for another day (organizing), for now I will live with it as is; no buying new stuff. Well, off to do a little painting before Retail ( then maybe I can buy new 😁). I will share with you my Village when it is finished.

                                 until next Table.... or desk,

Lantern on the Table

                     Table....

not  planning on using the lantern, turns into pretty - I had just put away the Patriotic and had a bare lantern. Grabbing some garlands, draping them on and around, has my wheels turning of what I can add to it.  I was thinking of the beach decor again but was not sure how...  didn't want to replay the look.

Wheels turning: Nantucket Beach or Garden Tea?

                                                                      Both ???

There is a project on the table at the moment so I have a few days to gather all the parts, and it will give me a 'breath' in which look I choose..... maybe a Nantucket Garden on the Beach Tea....

                                                                ....       ????

A gift from my Daughter, I want to share a good thought:

Missed Tuesday's Table

I had bought some of my favorite flowers to Welcome my Sister home from her trip.

Yesterday was the 4th of July and my beautiful Sister made sure I had BBQ before I left for Retail. I knew that there was some straightening up to do and to get the Table to look Patriotic.

This is a picture my Daughter took while visiting NYC, I took a Dollar Tree frame removed the backing; added the glass from another, same size frame - giving it the appearance of a floating frame.
I stung these Stars and added the bows; both projects took 30 minutes total to put together.

I may have promise something spectacular but didn't do. I can say that in one morning I went from Carnations to Patriotic.

I hope everyone had an awesome 4th, filled with family, friends and lots of BBQ.

                            until next Table,
                                           Mia
