Life...

The other day I got stuck on my planner. Not a 'what am I doing???' but a 'this is what I need to do'.  As you all know I want to move to the Mountains, and I need to have certain things done to make it happen. One being Financial. Last year was a Financially catch up year and truthfully not a very discipline year when it came to Saving; ZERO. Then the beginning of the year I was set back further by having to pay taxes.

Now that I have that all squared away, and spent a month of where did my money go ???
I will be looking into ways of making my money work for me (online).

This is one of the ways I am looking into working online; Bluehost is a blogging website that a User says is helpful - making more money. If this is much more effective Money Making - a blogging website that you pay a monthly fee, then this is where I will go. Not that Goggle's free Blogger site not great but it has not been a high income/ rapid increase way.

The Dream is to create an income that can support me (or help a Part Time job) in The Mountain. I feel that coming across this idea is God showing me the direction to make it happen. Bluehost may not be the website I choose but a new Website change will be coming.

Here's to the next 6 months....

I will keep you informed of the blog changes; you can also follow along at my Facebook page and Instagram accounts, titled the same. Until the real change I will continue post content here.

                            until next time,
                                         Mia

Mother's Day Table

This is our Sunday Morning Mother's Day table. It was a process and I will start from the beginning.....

                The Plan.....
Mother's Day Brunch at our house was decided when Retail had me schedule for 2pm. Sister was awesome - she was looking for reservations for us, because we all know that waiting for a table without reservations is an hour + long wait. That didn't happen so Plan B. I started with thinking: fresh flowers; Retail had some beautiful Roses and on the morning I was going to buy them, I woke knowing that the mini bunches faux flowers I bought Thursday was the ones I wanted. Sis put together a few buffet dishes (lox & cheese was oh so scrumptious) and kids brought other yummies.

So back to Joann's to see if I could get more mini bunches to line down the center of table. Naturally the same color was not there so I hoped the ones I found would work. Oh they where in the clearance section - half off .... Score!!!

         The vase...

This was a fun chase.  The 2 vases that are off to the side are a Goodwill find and when I bought the flowers on Thursday I knew that this was where they would be, either on my beside or in the bathroom. Only to have the line down the center of table I not only need more flowers but more vases, I wanted 5 mini arrangements. Retail didn't have any, Joann's didn't have any, Hobby Lobby was my next stop. Yes, they had some, just only one style vase, so being creative I knew that 2 of the corked bottles would work  (the third one was to make a balanced  Cork Bottle arrangement, if I ever made one - Beach???)

       The arrangement....

night before

Sis isn't a more is better kinda girl when it comes to Table, so the Plan was keep it Simple

Adding the Pink Roses for balance.

           The Sign.....

It was to be a ' Mom your the greatest' kinda sign but Ester here spoke to me. There is nothing that says Mom in this sign, only it reminds us that ...' (who knows) perhaps this is the moment (made queen) for which you have been (a time such as this) created ', Ester 4:14. NLT.

                 The end results.....

Sis added the Sunflowers. Something I would want - maybe not the Sunflowers but something green, ivy.  Beautiful and perfect.

The moment in which we were created for....  to be loved by God.

                               until next table,

my favorite breakfast

A few ingredients to top it.

                   Hint.....

                                 Yum

                            French Toast.

Everyone has their own way to make and I'm always looking for new tips to improve. When I began making French Toast it was the basic - Bread dipped in Milk Eggs Cinnamon fry in butter and top with syrup. Today I have added a few more or changed the ingredients:

                       1 cup Almond Milk
                       1 cage free egg
                       Cinnamon
                       Wheat Bread

                       * Nutmeg
                       *Vanilla
                       * Simple Syrup
Mix, dip wheat bread (not brown bread), fry in butter and canola oil till done, top with a pat or two of butter and maple syrup (table syrup means to drown the toast just to make the sweet but maple does it with 1/3 of the amount), fruit  and bacon (not part of this breakfast ... sad face insert here) both a perfect way to have breakfast.
                                                                                                 * new-ish from when I began making

I love making with an Electric Griddle but I don't have one. When using the Electric Griddle I only fry with butter; in a frying pan/skillet the canola oil keeps the butter from burning too fast.

Simple Syrup is equal parts sugar & water, this was the first time I used and am every happy with the results.  Like I munched earlier ' always looking for new tips to improve'. Before I add granulated sugar but it never really totally mixed in, so I decided to try simple syrup.

Topped with maple syrup and enjoy.

And let's not forget a good cup of strong coffee - makes for a good day.

                                       until next meal,
                                                      Mia

Double Table

The first table, I wanted simple. Got simple. Was trying for a dome arrangement only I need a couple more roses or use floral foam. So it did not quite make the dome. I put Sister's Mint Green table cloth to keep the background neutral letting the Pink - Pop. That Pop made the imperfect dome ok, and loved the look.

I have been into the over head shots; Instagram has labeled this 'Lay Flat' Photography. Though I don't think this image counts as a Lay Flat image.
                                                           Pink is Popping
I put them in my Goodwill's Silver bowl find...

I just love the tarnish of the bowl, it gives it such character and age - can you see the engraving... Flight, Winner, 1955  .... just perfect for the Pink Roses.

           The next Table....

                               a Shabby Woodland Spring,
I was waiting for the White table cloth to come out of the dryer and as I was arranging this ... I came to love just as is - without the tablecloth.

My vintage books and along with these flowers that I took off an old Spring decor vine garland was the inspiration to the grouping.

A cup of tea is always good with a book; during the Spring cleaning I had set the doily on the plate and the cup on top - pleasing to the eye. Which of course was sitting on the cake plate, while I was washing the dome. Adding to the books on the table and some more flowers to help complete the look.

The Table with it's clothe, I added the candle sticks (candles always seems to complete a table) making nice but for me not done ... candles was needed and I didn't want to go search for them.

voila -  flowers is the solution.

ummm you may noticed that the table clothes had changed.... Remember I'm Spring Cleaning, didn't post the first table; well, I also didn't take enough pictures, most where blurry or had Levi the Kitty in them. I write this the next day of making a table so if  more pictures needed I take them.

And when I put the table back to the Woodland Spring, I didn't change tablecloths.

I love creating new talescapes, I was looking at pictures of past tables and thought beautiful but.... a new look, use the same pieces but create new. This is what happens when I put things out on the table.

                            until next table,
                                             Mia
