Planning Works ..... Sometimes

Birthday Tea
I am looking back on my BuJo (Bullet Journal) and see that my ideas to write about,
like my Valentine Decor Tour did not happened. I need to catch up on my stories to you.

Valentine Tea
That cold I got a couple weeks ago has really put a damper on my creativity. As much as I
say that this blog is all about me re-learning to be a Domestic Artist .... I have been enjoying other   Creative pursuits and sharing them here with you -

                                                         Scrapbooking/Journal/Paper Crafts
                                                         Holiday Decorating
                                                         Cookie Making
                                                         Photography

the reason Domestic Artist has not been going well because it has been a while since I've kept a home.... a home that is totally mine to take care of and design it the way I like; could be this is why sharing those exploits are difficult to do,  .... ummmm maybe.

2018 BuJo
I have started Bullet Journaling  - BuJo. I love the visual creativity I can do once a week or any day of the week. It lets me plan things I want to do and see things I've done. This book I started in January, so I had to create each month and the weeks... add any list or notes that I needed to be reminded of.

2018 BuJo
When my cold hit me, I fell behind in creating a month & a few weeks along with my To Do's. I ordered online a new book leaving the only Things to fill in ....

Printed 2018 BuJo

It has just the months and weeks, so I add Post*it notes and Washi taped in lists and
To Do things. Also added a few stickers and doodles to truly personalize it.

of course the beginning of the book is empty, but I do plan on adding the highlights of the months that past. I love journaling my thoughts, doodling, and keeping memorabilia....
       .

because there are more out there to be filled.

2018 BuJo
I still plan on using the first book, it will be more of  doodles and thoughts.
How do you keep yourself on track and corral the memories that are created everyday?

                             until next time,
                                          Mia

Thrifted Cups & Cookies

I found theses cup sets - 6 in total, at my local Goodwill store. What made me just
say, " I'm buying" is the  Cafe De Colombia. My children's family is from Colombia and
wanted to give one set to them.

Thought I would enjoy my first use of my set (I'm keeping 2 sets) drinking
Abuelita's Hot Chocolatewhile working on my March Bullet Journal. The first time
I had Abuelita's was when my Mother in law made some years ago.
pictured here is the month spread, I was actually working on the week spread. If
you would like to see anything about Bullet Journaling let me know, it seems to be the way
of planning, scheduling, and being creative. Actually it is List Making at it's finest for me.

In the past I have written List on sheets of paper and then they get lost with other
List of Past (Past as in last week hehe). Then I tried using a Journal Note Book, which
worked pretty well; then I discovered Bullet Journal.

Back to these cookies - they are a 'keep in the recipe box'.....
                                                      Old Fashioned Pecan Sandies
Found this recipe on Pinterest, a pin from martieduncan.com... oh so YUMMY.

I am still not proficient with linking other sites but if you Google the .com/old
fashioned pecan sandies and you will get her web page to click on. Or you can search
on Pinterest - I have the pin in my Food - Cookies board.

When cookies are made in our house (actually any type dessert thingy) it leaves just
as quickly and these went to my Retail peeps, who said they are the best. I need to make
more because I know there are a few peeps I missed.

Thank you for stopping by and if you get a chance make these cookies!

                    until next time,
                                      Mia

A Bunny on the Table

It is that time of the year that the flowers bloom, the birdies chirp, and the days
become longer..... and hotter.  If you haven't known this about me yet I don't care for
the Hot & Hotter days of Summer. Luckily it is only Spring and it seems that SoCal is
       actually getting a Spring.

The Roses in the front yard are just loving the rain we had this last Weekend.

On my way to Retail, ....  Rain. Remember that childhood rhyme:

"  rain rain go away, come back some other day  "

Well, not me I have always ALWAYS loved the rain. Ok there was a couple
times I didn't - as a kid I walked to school and played in the puddles, not a good
idea - being wet in class. But hey I was a kid and I love the rain & puddles. The
other was when I was in high school and I was again walking (home this time with
no umbrella) and my mascara ran. I looked like a racoon. Oh well you live & learn
and learn how to dress for the rain when you Love Rain.

                                     OK back to -
                          The Table....

It is a Simple look,  just a few pieces to get started. I thought the Bunny sitting
on a bed of Roses and Ivy in a Silver bowl would give the Table a classic look but I'm
not to sure that the China pieces color work, a soft blue and pink roses ummm. Glad that I
at least I have time to still tweak it - St. Patty needs to pass, then I have to get serious about
all the bunnies I have 'hopping' around my Room.

These Roses I got at Amazon -I have also seen at Hobby Lobby the Brand/Style,
they are Outtop - 9 Heads Pink Roses. They are beautiful but need more, so will be
      ordering more.

The Sugar and Creamer I found at a local antique shop and the Salt & Pepper
my local Goodwill store. The only match they make, are that they are of the same
Color Family - Blue and this is why they are loved.

That is A Bunny on the Table.... so far. Stay in tune for some more content; even though
I was sick and chilling away from here, my ideas haven't. Meaning I have to catch up on my
Posting since February's ideas are still rolling around my head. So you don't miss a Story sign
   up for an email.

                        until next table,
                                           Mia

Lollygagging or Dilly-Dallying

                        Just a hello.....

..... and that I haven't left the blog world. Just this cold I got a couple weeks ago has
lingered on a bit and made for not wanting to do much. Have you ever gotten a cold like that?

I did get the Easter decor boxes out of (that was also the day I took pictures of the Daisies)
the shed and pulled a few bunnies and eggs out of them. I do have some ideas of how to tuck
them here and there, but for now they are waiting; hanging out in the Room.

This is an idea for the table, to put the dome cake pedestal changing these books for my
vintage ones, maybe add an egg or flower ....

Thinking how the birdies will look cute to see as you walk in the Front door or
the bathroom - making it a theme in there. The possibilities are endless, because there
are still a few Trinkets in the boxes.

For now there is a St. Patty's vignette. Cute story: when I put this on the Entryway
bookcase, Nephew came home and upon seeing it he excitedly yells, "Leprechauns", I
love it when things like this brings him such joy.

I saw this sign at Hobby Lobby on Weds and thought this is so me right now,
                                                            Dilly-Dallying

This week has been a week of Dilly Dallying on my writing and photo shoots - not getting
things finished. It makes for not starting new projects started, then next thing you know it is Fall.

I should go back and buy it as a reminder that today is not a day for it.  I will
say that ideas have been in the planning stages and not just Easter but Summer too. There
is also the possibility that I will be moving into my own place this Summer. For now, it is
time I stop Lollygagging and do.... gots lots to do.

                      until next time,
                                    Mia
