Sitting at the Table

A Family Fun Weekend -    My kids and I had our first 'We are all grown up Family Vacay'. I wanted us as a Family to sit at the table and have meals together. And what better place to do this at then the Mountain - my favorite place.

We played games each night and explored the Mountain City by day

As I write this I realized the one thing that made this trip so amazing was that my Baby Girl and I cooked our meals and I did not take a single picture of us sitting down at the table enjoying those meals. It was more important to just sit together as a family eating and talking like we did when my kids where little ones. My Daughter however did get a picture of our first breakfast.

A pound of bacon, dozen & 1/2 eggs, and Baby Girl's pancakes from scratch, Yummy. Bacon is my Son's Favorite, lucky for us he shares. And oh, coffee of course, a great way to start the day of exploring.

First time my Son in law played got a Yahtzee here, mad skills of steadiness, and the use of our quick minds here....

Each morning I woke to this beautiful tree when getting coffee...

and spent at the patio table drinking it.

                  I'm home now but still....

The importance of a table was best pictured here this weekend: family sitting at the Table. Pretty tables are nice but the Family and friends that sit at your table is a blessing.

                           until next table,

Monday Blues

The Mountain's Lake - How Blue
I have been on a Think - about Monday ... most people have their Work Week beginning on Monday, this first of five working days and it has become the 'ugh day' to them. Lately, I have not wanted to put Monday & ugh together. This thought came to me when my ' Monday' work week began on Friday, worked to Tuesday, having Wednesday & Thursday off. Talk about Monday Blues; while the majority of the work force was getting ready for the 2 days off - I went to work, Retail hours. But I thought about it ... I'm Blessed, I have a job, made some new friends, have been able to enjoy my little place, and visit my Children and Grands (they live in the Valley & one at the Beach).

I've heard the phrase 'Monday Blues'..... did you know Blue is my favorite color?, anyways, Monday Blues is associated with ugh, sadness, grumpy - work. I want to change that - at least in my sphere of life. I want to show how beautiful each day is, work and all.

The Mountain's Lake and beautiful Blue sky.
I will post a  Blue picture here with a little 'hello' and /or on Instagram, #ing Monday, Blue. This is a project to show just how beautiful Monday is, ... This is the Day the LORD has made. Hope you will follow along in this and we can gather a few more people so they too can be blessed and enjoy everyday.

                        Happy Blue Day,
                                     Mia
