My 4th of July Table .....
The inspiration - the Red plates. I got to work last week and realized that I
combined time and day of 2 different days resulted in me being at work an hour early
for that day. To kill time I wondered around Walmart, found these 4pk plates for a
buck, added blue placemats (4) for 2 bucks, and the round serving plate for 3.50, so for about
$12 dollars I have Red White & Blue for the table.
As for the center piece, I have been collecting Hydrangeas for a while - have
been wanting to do a Nantucket Beach table & Hydrangeas makes me think
Nantucket. Well, I thinking I have reached my budget on the table and getting new
flowers was not a part the spending (only I never really made a budget.... ummm
something else I Need to Do). I made use of the Hydrangeas for this table.
Table done : check??..... run to store to pick up lunch : check.
While I was at the store I realize that what was keeping me from truly thinking
Red White & Blue was done - there was no Red in the center piece. I had Red on the table,
I had tried some Pink Roses - Nope didn't like....
It's pretty but no; then I remembered my Star. A Christmas ornament that is
doing double duty for holiday decorating.
And works well with the star votive candle dishes.
Lunch -
Cheese Burger and Fries. A perfect lunch. Though this is a lunch just for me
I didn't fry up a lot of fries and that second burger is just a Tomato sandwich, which
was saved for a later - reheated burgers are not that tasty, too dry; I thought for 'photo
pretty' the use of the serving plate would be great but food for 1 would make it skimpy,
so I added the extra 'burger'.
I may have to rethink my Food - photographing, styling, and menu.
I enjoyed my lunch in the festive decor. I pray that your 4th of July festivities are full
family and fun.
until next table,
Mia
