Setting a Simple Patriotic Table. I had fun doing this as this is the first time I set the table with dishes.
placed them on a placemat - I bought a set at Walmart; in the center, a little star to lean on the vase to complete the centerpiece. Voila Simple. I had bought the placemats in the anticipation of using them to set the table with dishes. Sister's table has 2 leafs; no leafs sits 4, 1 leaf sits 6 (pictured here has 1 leaf ), 2 leafs sits 8 comfortably - we have had more sit at the table. When I went to use them for this post I felt it would be to skimpy to do 2 place settings, so I had a thought and re-purpose cork board mats. Now I just need a runner to match and few more placemats to use on Sister's table.
Now that the base laid out - time to build....
Using Sister's everyday white plates, silverware, and glasses; I added my vintage napkins and placed a tin star ornament around the napkin. Next comes the pop of color.....
Using Red White & Blue pip berry sprays tucked under the napkins and some Red star ornaments (bought at Christmas) for the pop of color around the table. Adding some paper mache Star ornaments to keep the decorating rule of 'odd' helps fill in the look but still keeps it simple.
Now bring on the meal.... well if I cooked something LoL...
until next table,
Mia
Note
I have a lot going on in my head - my Mountain goal & things to do to make happen (place & work once there) I hope to have a post about that soon - after my vacation as that I would have pictures of the Mountain. I may work on a couple of 'Hello' post just to so you know I haven't left this blog world.
please don't forget to a click as that helps me - much love.
