my favorite breakfast

                      A few ingredients to top it.

                   Hint.....

                                 Yum

                            French Toast.

              Everyone has their own way to make and I'm always looking for new tips to improve. When I began making French Toast it was the basic - Bread dipped in Milk Eggs Cinnamon fry in butter and top with syrup. Today I have added a few more or changed the ingredients:

                       1 cup Almond Milk
                       1 cage free egg
                       Cinnamon
                       Wheat Bread

                       * Nutmeg
                       *Vanilla
                       * Simple Syrup
                 Mix, dip wheat bread (not brown bread), fry in butter and canola oil till done, top with a pat or two of butter and maple syrup (table syrup means to drown the toast just to make the sweet but maple does it with 1/3 of the amount), fruit  and bacon (not part of this breakfast ... sad face insert here) both a perfect way to have breakfast.
                                                                                                 * new-ish from when I began making

       I love making with an Electric Griddle but I don't have one. When using the Electric Griddle I only fry with butter; in a frying pan/skillet the canola oil keeps the butter from burning too fast.

     Simple Syrup is equal parts sugar & water, this was the first time I used and am every happy with the results.  Like I munched earlier ' always looking for new tips to improve'. Before I add granulated sugar but it never really totally mixed in, so I decided to try simple syrup.

               Topped with maple syrup and enjoy.

                           And let's not forget a good cup of strong coffee - makes for a good day.

                                       until next meal,
                                                      Mia
