Happy May
Lots going on the first 2 weeks of May, my niece will be getting married, my Sister's Anniversary, and of course Mother's Day. I haven't even thought of the rest of the month. I know we should be in the here and now....
So I am posting this today and the Table will look like this for the next few weeks.... or maybe it will become a working table with just a spot for Nephew to have his meal.
A lovely Mother's Day Spring Table.....
I want to say this one thing- a designer/stylist may say- that I did not give it a symmetrical look -needs to have the height on both ends, to frame what is in the center. I was aiming for a cascading look which I believe I achieved. Oh one other detail... the bird cage I made, which accounts for the lopsidedness. (very happy with that too)
and the buttons and earrings are for the Rosette project
The cage is a pickle jar lid with wire hot glued to make the dome - hand shaped, why the lopsidedness; the edging is paper punched after it was all assembled I painted it white. The Rosettes is an on going project - as you can see the earring (yes earring) isn't the right fit for the center of Rosette. I will need to layer it with a smaller Rosette or find a bigger center. Between me & you the layer look will be better.
More pictures of the Table:
My 2 of tea cups
The faux Ranunculus that is looking beautiful everywhere
The lacy crochet ribbon with the pearls, I bought to do Rosettes
is lovely, corralling everything to the edge of the Table.
I had bought a vine to hang on my bedroom window a couple of Springs ago and well this year it hasn't made it up. I even bought another one to plump up the vine. Both at Hobby Lobby 50% off both times, such a deal. I used one, nicely giving the effect of flowers cascading on to the Table.
It looks lovely and can stay past Mother's Day, the wonderful beauty of faux flowers and being too busy to stay on top of Changing of the Flowers.
until next Table,
Mia
PS our Table sits between 2 windows against the wall - chair is sandwich between wall & table
